Shan Koe Mee Rules and How to Play
Card Hand Structure
The game uses a standard deck and hands are made up of nine cards. Each player receives three cards and the goal is to get a total that equals nine or ends in nine.
Card Game Nine CardsHow to Count Points
Card values from Ace to Five count at face value; cards from Ten to King count as ten. The player whose total is closest to 9 wins. If the total exceeds nine, subtract ten and use the remaining number as the score.
Score PointsHow the Winner is Decided
The player whose three cards total 9 wins. In a tie, hands are compared by card type, number of cards, and rank order. Special combinations such as Three of a Kind have their own scoring rules depending on the software and table.

Strategies Used by Experienced Players
Players who rely on luck alone are unlikely to win at Shan Koe Mee over the long run. Experienced players track card probabilities, adjust their bets accordingly, and switch between the Banker side and the Player side.
Counting the cards and raising your bet when the odds of hitting 9 are high — then lowering it when they are not — helps protect your bankroll and keeps you in the game longer.
Experienced players often hold their cards while aiming for bonus combinations (Three of a Kind, Straight Flush) and place only a small bonus bet, which gives them a chance at bigger payouts.
